Thanks to JSB and their Hawaii 5-O themed new showroom opening in Yurong Street, Darlinghurst, some of the DC girls and boys danced away last Friday night on the fake beach pit and mingled with the 420 guest industry crowd. Well deserved fun. Here’s even some funny evidence pics from the well-propped Photo Booth. Gotta love these events!…
Anyone in or around Sydney has to get down to the Quay after dusk for a truly spectacular, eye-popping experience. The city foreshore has come alive with intense colour, movement and light as the Vivid Sydney 2012 festival kicks off. So much creative energy and talent is on show. One of our favourites is the sky high canvas of the MCA with projected moving imagery reminiscent of Fritz Lang’s Metropolis but in full-blown, vivid colour. Unbelievable and unmissable! Get down there and take the kids too. They’ll love it!
Vivid Sydney 25 May – 11 June 2012…
Design Clarity alumni Bent Patterson and Laura Kepreotis recently joined creative forces with two fellow designers to form Sydney-based collective “He Made She Made”.
Situated in Darlinghurst, their soon-to-be open gallery provides a platform to showcase fresh, creative and under-represented talent by, “Bringing to life objects that might be considered art, but often encompass the functionality and utility of a design piece.”
We wish them all the best in their new venture and look forward to checking out the latest in Sydney art/design talent.
He Made She Made will launch to the public on 31/01/2012.
