Taking fashion marketing to a whole new level the Color Forecast project by retailer Pimkie has been developed by Pedro Cruz and runs feeds from high definition cameras in Milan, Paris and Antwerp to track the colour of fashions worn across the cities.
The colour clustering software analyses the passing colours and shows in real time which are worn most often, then the colours are compiled into an infographic to see how trends evolve.
It is yet to be seen how other fashion houses take to the accuracy and its capacity to forecast the trends and determine how colour tastes change over the season. Either way strong graphics and aesthetic tone results in an interesting project.

We are highly impressed by this new identity designed by studio End of Work for the Australian restaurant chain ‘Meet the Greek’. The interior and identity is inspired by authentic Greek tavernas delivered with a contemporary twist. This includes: a 10ft high typographic wall sculpture which was laser cut from wood, wooden wall hanging message boards, business card matchbooks and laser etched wooden invites to the opening night.

Design Clarity came across a new & innovative concept based on sustainable fashion & recycling clothes. Recently launched, “Shwopping” is an nationwide ethical project based on “swapping & shopping” in association with Marks & Spencer to prevent the throwing away of the standard one billion garments a year, which ultimately end up in landfills.
The concept is to “bring in something old, buy something new” at any Marks & Spencer retailer which will then be resold or recycled by their partner Oxfam, a leading UK charity fighting poverty. The initiative was launched and celebrated this month in Brick Lane, a area of central London popular for its second hand & trendy fashion stores. The entire street & surrounding buildings were covered with the amount equivalent to the clothes being thrown away every five minutes in the UK. The final result is a colourful and striking exterior display.
