A suspended network of timber beams and acoustic panels adds depth and pattern to the upper volume of the walkway. This architectural feature integrates structural elements, lighting hardware, and sound management into a single, cohesive design overhead.
The design consists of intersecting timber slats that form a rhythmic, geometric grid across the ceiling void. Inside this framework, triangular sections of dark perforated metal break up the open space, working to capture sound waves and lower noise levels throughout the busy corridor below.
Small, directional spotlights are mounted at the intersections of the timber beams, casting focused light downward while keeping the ceiling looking neat and uncluttered. Below, the timber-clad shop bulkheads mirror the tones of the ceiling trellis, creating a strong vertical connection between the storefronts and the roof structure.
