The Sydney team enjoyed a splendid Melbourne Cup 2011 lunch yesterday at Orto Trading Co. in Surry Hills.
The food was beautiful and well presented (except the snapper’s teeth). Orto’s service was outstanding and the atmosphere was complete with live coverage, decorations and everyone dressed and fascinated up. We had the bets down and ready to win by the time it hit race time at 3 pm. Unfortunately, we put too much money on the wrong horses and didn’t have any beginners betting luck either.
Nevertheless, the afternoon was delightful (especially in the good company) and we’re looking forward to trying our chances in 2012.
