The Art of Clean Up

The “Art of Clean Up” is a project by Swiss artist and comedian Ursus Wehrli, in which he decided to bring unique art into the real world by arranging food, parked cars, everyday objects, and even groups of people.

Ursus previously became known for his “Tidying Up Art” books, where he takes famous artworks by the likes of Chagall, Seraut, or Paul Klee, and “tidies” up the images by carefully organizing them into component pieces, or by creating clever infographic-like variations. After deciding he can’t completely organize a Jackson Pollock, he simply returns all of the paint to its original paint cans. The work landed him a pretty hilarious TED talk in 2006.
