This elegant corner captures the quieter, more intimate character of the Kingston redevelopment. Warm lighting, tactile wall panelling and a beautifully detailed palette combine to create a dining space that feels composed, inviting and distinctly contemporary without losing its classic pub sensibility.

This image showcases one of the most atmospheric pockets of the Kingston interior—a room shaped around immersion, comfort and a subtly elevated dining experience. The deep green wall colour, carried across the V-groove panelling and decorative moulded panels, anchors the space with a soothing, modern heritage feel. It draws from the project’s overarching palette of rich tones and natural textures, a direct evolution of the DD concept work that focused on warmth, familiarity and timeless appeal.

Lighting has been deliberately softened to complement the palette. Globe pendants in brushed brass add a touch of mid-century elegance, their warm glow balancing the cooler undertones of the paintwork. Paired wall sconces provide layered illumination that emphasises the wall detailing without overwhelming the intimacy of the room. The result is lighting that shapes mood rather than merely illuminating function.

Furniture selections maintain a classic pub lineage while refining the aesthetic. Bentwood chairs in a dark timber finish introduce sculptural curves, grounding the tables’ pale stone-look tops (specified in the finishes schedule) with a pleasing visual rhythm. The choice of slender black table bases reinforces the clean, uncluttered look, keeping focus on the textures and craftsmanship around the room.

Soft, full-height curtains filter natural light and lend a residential softness—an intentional move that aligns with the project’s ambition to create a more welcoming, community-driven atmosphere. The framed artwork adds a playful, slightly eclectic note, keeping the scheme from feeling too formal.

This corner exemplifies the interior strategy: familiar materials, refined detailing, and a touch of personality—all working together to deliver a refreshed hospitality experience.
