RDM for ISPT

RDM role for 18 Centres Nationally

Design Clarity was engaged by Industry Super Property Trust (ISPT) one of the leaders in Australian property market, to oversee the Retail Design approval process for ISPT Retail Portfolio. This RDM role covered 18 centres nationally and up to 800 individual tenancies.

ISPT centres include the prestigious heritage listed GPO in Melbourne CBD and the recently developed Wintergarden in Brisbane CBD.

Design Clarity managed the national RDM strategy with our team members located in 3 cities: Sydney, Melbourne and Perth.

We have been responsible for tenancy audits, base building drawings, new kiosk lease plans, and the retail design management review and approval process across the developing centres in the ISPT folio. We track all projects, have weekly internal design review sessions and attend weekly leasing update meetings with ISPT Head Office.

Managing premium heritage-listed retail spaces like Melbourne's GPO demands a highly sensitive RDM strategy that protects historic building architecture while accommodating modern retail stores. The design management framework sets strict limits on tenant alterations to safeguard the original architectural features.

Balancing the operational requirements of major supermarkets with smaller specialty retailers requires a highly responsive RDM framework. This design management model smooths out the physical handovers and boundaries where high-volume commercial footprints meet the main public mall walkways.
