Browns Brasserie Windsor

Restaurant design with restrained modern glamour...

Windsor is the next in the refurbishment series to feature the new look DC has created for Browns throughout the UK. The design focuses on rich colours, patterns and textures – including gorgeous velvet, leather and corduroy. A unique signature wallpaper adds to the wow factor, thanks to the talented Glasgow based duo, Timorous Beasties.

The successful result reflects the re-invented Browns Brasserie & Bar brand essence: restrained modern glamour. We love it!

The dining area is defined by a tactile material palette that communicates restrained glamour. High-back velvet banquette seating acts as a rich tonal anchor against neutral walls, while mirrored panelling expands spatial depth and reflects natural light across the deep floor plan.

The dining room layout maximizes the building’s original architectural envelope by aligning seating zones with tall, traditional windows. Muted sage green walls and dark timber wainscoting establish a sophisticated backdrop, allowing the vibrant plush upholstery and white stone tabletops to stand out as primary design features.

The layout utilizes wide thoroughfares and a consistent dark timber floor to seamlessly connect the bar with the dining room. Structural columns partition the open space into intimate zones, while a neutral ceiling grid with exposed beams houses multi-level spherical lighting to maintain a bright, airy architectural volume.

The dining configuration uses fluid geometry to maximize spatial efficiency within a prominent corner. By combining a wide-radius curved banquette with an architectural timber-framed mirror, the layout expands the perception of the dining envelope while bouncing light from the perimeter windows into the core of the space.
